Pet of the Week: Meet Bailey!

KBTX in Bryan, Texas is highlighting Bailey, a 13-year-old, 12-pound senior dog who is currently looking for a peaceful, permanent home. The little dog is up for adoption and would do best in a calm household that respects her limits. Bailey is often shy at first and can be reserved, but she has moments when she will come forward to request affection. She enjoys petting and companionship on her own terms and does best when her boundaries are honored. Staff believe Bailey is deaf, as she does not respond to her name or loud noises. Despite that, she is reported to be tolerant of other dogs and good around children, which could make her a gentle companion in a multi-pet or family setting. She dislikes being kenneled and prefers sleeping in bed beside her people. Bailey is curious and independent, mostly keeping to herself while quietly enjoying being near her humans. Because she is a senior dog, she will need someone patient and compassionate who understands the needs of older pets. If you are interested in adopting or want details on the process, visit longwayhome.org to apply or learn more.
