Meet SAM

Sam is a sweet-natured guy with gentle ways and a case of arthritis. He came to the shelter with another dog named Kane, a male with whom he is currently co-kenneled, and staff said both were emaciated. While Sam has put on weight since arriving, he just needs a quiet place to spend the rest of his Golden Years. He’ll take you on a short, fast walk before he quickly loses steam and wants to slowly sniff around and savor the little things, such as all the smells that a single blade of grass can contain. He recently went on an overnight with a member of the public and you can enjoy those photos in the gallery above. Clearly he made himself at home very quickly. Unknown how he is with cats but he would likely do OK with another canine friend, though slow introductions are always recommended.https://youtu.be/PFl2SVLo93w?si=NHx2lfLVDeTyu-yqSam's adoption fee has been paid for with a donation from a community member
