Meet Buddy

This sweet senior gentleman is looking for a soft place to land and a family to love. Buddy is an 11-year-old Yorkie mix weighing approximately 14 pounds. For the past decade, he has lived with a senior owner and has been a loyal companion through the years. Now, through no fault of his own, he is searching for a new home where he can enjoy his golden years. Buddy has a wonderful temperament with people. He has spent time around children ranging from toddlers to tweens and has always done well. His former family reports that he is gentle, affectionate, and easy to be around. In fact, both of their neighbor’s daughters helped walk him from a young age, and Buddy has always been patient and cooperative with them. He walks nicely on leash and enjoys getting out for strolls. While he may bark at the occasional golf cart during walks, he's generally a very quiet dog. His family reports they've rarely heard him bark inside the home. Buddy's experience with cats is unknown. He may prefer being the only dog in the home, as he doesn't appear to enjoy the company of other dogs, though additional introductions and evaluation may help determine the best fit. A veterinary checkup was completed last year, and records are being obtained.
