Meet DAKOTA
Dakota is a wonderful senior girl who proves that age is just a number! Currently thriving in foster care, Dakota is described as calm, sweet, and easy to live with—fully house trained, good with dogs of all sizes, good with cats, and even familiar with using a dog door. She would fit beautifully into just about any family looking for a gentle, well-mannered companion. Dakota has a laid-back, affectionate personality and absolutely loves spending time with her people, whether that’s relaxing at home or joining in on a nice stroll. Dakota already knows her basics—sit, down, and paw—and is always happy to show them off for a tasty treat! She walks nicely on leash, rides quietly and obediently in the car, and charms everyone she meets with her polite, friendly demeanor. While she’s not much interested in toys, she loves treats, grass, walks, and simply being included in whatever her people are doing. One of her favorite pastimes is splashing around in a kiddie pool, which she absolutely adores! Dakota does drink a lot of water and needs frequent potty breaks, but otherwise she’s an easygoing, low-drama companion with plenty of love and companionship left to give.
