Meet BLUE

Meet handsome senior husky Blue! Blue is a 10-year-old neutered Siberian Husky weighing about 53 pounds, and he is the definition of a gentle gentleman. He leashes up easily, walks calmly without pulling, and enjoys taking in the world at an easygoing pace. Blue showed friendly, relaxed interest in other dogs, greeting nearby pups with a wagging tail and calm curiosity. Don’t let his age fool you — this boy still has some agility and spark! He happily hopped up on the play yard equipment in search of tasty mini Milk Bones and showed off his love of treats along the way. What really makes Blue special is his affectionate nature. He frequently came back for long pets, gazing softly into people’s eyes with his tail wagging. He was wonderfully patient while being brushed and groomed, standing calmly for several minutes while loose undercoat was removed. Blue also takes treats gently and already knows “sit” and “shake.”Because of the warm weather, it was hard to get a good idea of his full energy level, but Blue appeared to have a nice, balanced energy typical of an adult dog — happy to explore, engage, and then settle in for affection and companionship. Blue came to the shelter as a stray, so his past is a mystery, but he’s showing everyone what a sweet, attentive, and loving companion he can be.
