Meet WINSTON
I’m a lovable, easygoing guy with a smile that could melt just about anyone’s heart. I originally came to HSVC as a stray and quickly became a staff favorite thanks to my sweet personality, gentle spirit, and constant need to be part of the action. I’m the kind of dog who just wants to be near my people, whether that means lounging in the office while you work, joining a pack walk, or curling up next to you for some well-earned cuddle time. Around here, I’m known as the “Best Office Buddy” and “Training Demo Pro” because I help new volunteers practice their skills and make everyone smile while I do it. I walk beautifully on leash, know my basic commands, and I’m very treat motivated. Plus, I have a signature move: I love carrying a toy in my mouth everywhere I go, it’s my way of saying, “life is good!”I spent some time in a home with children and did wonderfully, it just turned out not to be the right match. I’d likely do best in a home with adults or older kids who understand my gentle nature and love including me in family life. I’ve also done great on pack walks and might get along with another dog after a slow proper introduction, though I’d be most happy just as soaking up all the love as your one and only. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with great manners, a goofy grin, and a heart as big as his smile, I think we’re meant to meet.
