Meet Drako
Forever Home Wanted…. Meet Drako!!!! Hi, my name is Drako. But my foster Mom calls me D. I’ve been a part of the most awesome rescue here for approximately two years. The last 13 months, I’ve been blessed to spend in a foster home with one of the coolest foster brothers with four legs. It’s taken me a while to get adjusted to living in a home, see I’m afraid of many things. I have forgotten the stuff that led up to me becoming a part of Labradors and Friends dog resuce, but the fear still lingers. What does that mean? Well, it means that I don’t like to be the only dog in a house, car, etc. I like to have the security of another brother/sister dog around me. I love to walk with another dog or two or 10. I love to walk with my foster Mom and foster brother. We take walks every morning and night. Sometimes we go for short walks but other times, man we take long walks and I love it! Loud noises startle me, I want to duck or run to get to safety. Things like a trash truck or a Harley Davidson motorcycle are just a few examples of the noises that make me uncomfortable. But my foster Mom keeps exposing me to these noises, reassures me that I’m ok and in no danger and pets me to make me calm down. My foster brother is a big help too. He shows me how to “move forward” and trust Mom. He says she’s going to keep us safe no matter what. I am not timid all the time. I love my crate to sleep, relax and to chew toys and bones throughout the day and night. I love to be near my foster Mom while she works. She lets me in her office so I can help her when she gets stressed at her job. I have a big back yard to play in too. But I don’t like to go out there all by myself. There are a bunch of birds, butterflies and other stuff that always fly around, and I get nervous. But if my foster Mom takes me out in the yard, I’ll be ok. I’ll spend time getting brushed and petted while the birds keep their distance from me. I don’t have any cat friends, but I don’t think I would mind having a cat friend. If you think I would be a good fit for your family, please fill out an application to adopt me. I have a ton of love to share with you and your family. Email dogs@labradorsandfriends.org or fill out our adoption application at our website: labradorsandfriends.org. Drako is located in Southern California.
